About Us
Congratulations to R.W. Murray Co. Vice President, Jonathan Barbour, for receiving the 2017 Virginia Tech Department of Building Construction Outstanding Alumnus Award!
Jonathan received this award for his outstanding service as an alumni member of Virginia Tech’s Myers-Lawson School of Construction.
A graduate of the Building Construction program, Jonathan now boasts 16 years of experience in the construction industry and continues to actively participate with the Myers-Lawson School of Construction in many ways. He serves as a mentor to the students in the program and as a guest panelist on Career Fair interview techniques. Additionally, he works to connect local high school students who have an interest in construction with faculty advisors. Congratulations, Jonathan, on this amazing achievement!
The Myers-Lawson School of Construction provides undergraduates and graduates more choices for pursuing construction education. It manages an accredited undergraduate degree in construction engineering and management, which complements existing degrees in BC and CEE. The school works with faculty from multiple departments to provide students with additional opportunities to pursue concentrations, minors, or support courses related to construction.
