It was a perfect night for the 6th Annual Oyster Roast & Bourbon Toast, which took place at our office on Thursday, October 17th.
For the sixth year running, clients, partners and friends were brought together for a fantastic evening of networking, fresh oysters and bourbon sampling. We were pleased to welcome back Bourbon Expert, Tom Fischer, founder of BourbonBlog.com, to lead the bourbon tastings, educating and making recommendations along the way. This year, we also invited the folks from KO Distilling (based in Manassas) to serve up two of their whiskeys, Bare Knuckle Straight Bourbon Whiskey: Single Barrel and Cask Strength. Alongside the local selections from KO Distilling, Noah’s Mill, Angel’s Envy & Woodford Reserve Double Oaked were also poured all evening. For the bourbon naysayers, we provided two on-tap choices from local brewery, Sinistral Brewery (also based out of Manassas!), a festive OctoberFEAST and a flavorful Hello Sunshine American IPA.
We enjoyed a delicious selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts from A La Carte catering. Can’t forget about the oysters! Rappahannock Oyster Company joined the party, bringing with them 1,000 oysters this year! Guests could choose from three oyster varieties: Olde Salt, Rochambeau or the classic Rappahannock River oyster, served on the half-shell or freshly grilled.
